TNA World Heavyweight Champion… Magnus or A.J. Styles?

Who is the real TNA World Heavyweight Champion?

A.J. Styles with the vacated but physical TNA World Heavyweight Champion
He never lost the belt and leaved the company with the belt.

A.J. Styles
On October 20 at Bound for Glory, Styles defeated Bully Ray in No Disqualifications match, despite interference from Aces & Eights and Carter, to win his second TNA World Heavyweight Championship, his fifth world title in the company overall. Styles made his first televised title defense on the following episode of Impact Wrestling, defeating Ray in a rematch after an interference from Mr. Anderson. After the match, Styles refused Carter’s new contract offer and made her pay by taking the title and walking out of TNA. Styles then left the company on October 24 and the title was then vacated on October 29 with Styles in possession of the physical championship belt.

Magnus became the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion
after defeating Jeff Hardy in a tournament final for title vacated by A.J. Styles.

On the 21 November 2013 episode of Impact Wrestling, Magnus was entered into a tournament to crown a new TNA World Heavyweight Champion after the title was vacated. He defeated Samoa Joe in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Turning Point and Kurt Angle on Impact Wrestling to advance to the finals.

On 3 December he defeated Jeff Hardy in a Dixieland match to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion; the match aired on 19 December, on Impact Wrestling: Final Resolution. In the process, he joined Team Dixie, allying himself with Dixie Carter, Rockstar Spud, and Ethan Carter III, in which turned him heel.

This week’s Impact (January 2, 2014) was pre-recorded a month ago. AJ Styles has not signed a new contract with TNA Wrestling, and according to Magnus the deal for next week’s match (which has already been recorded as well) is a “one night only” contract to have the blow-off match between the two champions. As of the most recent reports, AJ’s deal fell through with TNA, and he will not be making a return to the company any time soon.

Is this A.J. Styles free agent stuff is a storyline or part reality?

Styles returned to TNA on December 5, losing to Magnus in a World Heavyweight title unification match. The match will be presented on January 9, 2014. (source wikipedia)    THE MATCH
