The Road Warriors left WCW in 1990 for the WWF / WWE.  So WCW creative team needed to fill the void left by The Road Warriors, the most successful and popular tag team of all time.  So why change a winning formula?  Why not create a MAD MAX films / Road Warriors rip-off?
Thankx to their size, strength and muscles, rookie wrestlers Kevin  Nash and Al Green were repackaged as The Master Blasters, the new Road Warriors!!!  But sadly, the pair sucked so much in the ring that instead of becoming the next L.O.D./ Road Warriors, they became The Steiner Bros’s whipping boys.

Z-Man vs Master Blaster Blade – 6:02

The last time I’ve heard about The Master Blasters was on WCW Nitro of April 12, 1999 – when two hulking men billed as The Master Blasters, both wearing nylon stocking over their head were scheduled to face the luchador jobber duo of La Parka & El Dandy. But Kevin Nash stormed the ring and squashed everybody?!? It was the first and only time that we seen the “new” Master Blasters and we never heard of them ever again. Sad, since the new Master Blasters looked fearsome and intimidating. Just another case of a pointless storyline in the old, dying WCW.
