Okada in NJPW does a pretty good job with the whole “Rich guy as a face” thing. He has a thing called the “Rainmaker fund”, I think it was. Every time he wins a match with his Rainmaker short arm clothesline, he donates money to cancer research. I forget how much he donates and it was in yen, but I’m pretty sure it was in the ballpark of a few thousand USD. People seem to love him. Plus, he actually donates the money. The guy is actually very wealthy, being one of the biggest stars in Japan.
