Most Anticipated Fights in Female MMA 2018

Most Anticipated Fights in Female MMA 2018. StrengthFighter.com

Awareness of female MMA has become popular although it has been around only for a few years. During this short history, UFC has delivered numerous unforgettable fights. Some of these matches were so exciting and entertaining that they would warrant a second bout. Whether it was because of a close call or it had a controversial ending, it is these rivalries between the top fighters that get the fans juices going.
UFC did an okay job with the matches in 2017, but the expectation is higher in 2018. The one remarkable fight that is still the talk of the town was between Namajunas vs. Jedrzejczk. Will we have more of this at UFC 2018? Well, here is a list of the most anticipated female fights in MMA 2018.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Rose Namajunas “Thug Rose” (115)

“Thug Rose” did the unexpected at UFC 217 and won. It was such a surprise that nobody saw it coming. She had built up momentum in 216 with three consecutive wins which she saw go down the drain with a spit call that saw the fight go on Karolina Kowalkiewicz’s way. This win was a great mileage for her. 5 months after the fight, Joanna will get an immediate rematch after her strawweight title loss. “Thug Rose” is set to defend the 115-pound title which saw her claim the belt in April. This will be a captivating match since Joanna will try to reclaim her title.

Valentina “Bullet” Shevchenko vs. Priscila Cachoeira

The 3rd of Feb is the big day for this match. This is the type of female fight that everyone knows will produce fireworks. “Bullet” is coming off a controversial decision loss to Amanda Nunes. She will meet promotional newbie Priscila at UFC Friday night. Priscila is one of the promising young talents, and this will be a vital step in her career at the beginning of the year. This is a classic case of old versus new!

Jessica “Bate Estaca” Andrade vs. Tecia Torres (115)

Another interesting match that has high anticipation in February is between Jessica and Tecia. Jessica has been coming out victorious in her last 4 out of 5 octagon appearances. Her defeat was to Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 211. Recently, she earned a unanimous verdict over Claudia Gadelha. This will be such a refreshing pair to watch since Tecia, on the other hand, has lost once in 7 outings. A true definition of “head to head.”

Cristiane Justino vs. Amanda Nunes (135)

This is the fight that everybody would like to see in 2018. Though not confirmed, Dana White recently said that UFC is working on it. This would be an epic match to witness. Cristiane who is considered as the female version of Wanderlei Silva successfully defended her featherweight with a win over former 135-pound champ Holly Holm. Amanda, who is the UFC women’s bantamweight champ, seems more open to this fight. With both of them holding such titles, it can be hard to predict who will win.

Felice Herrig vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz (115)

Former women’s strawweight title challenger Karolina is expected to take on Felice at UFC 223 in a 115-pound affair. This will be an exciting fight since Felice seems to be on a winning streak. She has won 4 times in a row since April 2015. However, Karolina has not been lucky in recent previous fights. She faced defeat by Joanna Jedrzejczyk in her 2016 title challenge at UFC 205. Will Felice continue her winning streak or will Karolina finally have a clean break?

Conclusion
Women still do face a harder time compared to men in getting fights. As their awareness is increasing, UFC is hoping that the industry will thrive. From the above female fights, 2018 is anticipated to be huge. UFC has outdone themselves with such a controversial line up of matches.

Now let's compare Tatiana Kashirina, the World Strongest in the World, astonishing feats of superhuman strength to the not less astonishing feats of the male weightlifters.

Below I will compare the list of world records in Olympic weightlifting, men vs. women.

Here come the big men:

Comparing Tatiana Kashirina's records at the 2014 World Weightlifting Championships next to the Men's +105 kg of the same year.

  • Tatiana Kashirina's 155 kg Snatch would rank her ex-aequo in 25th in the Men's +105 kg.
  • Tatiana Kashirina's 193 kg Clean & Jerk would rank her 24th in the Men's +105 kg.

  • Tatiana Kashirina's 348 kg Total would rank her 27th in the Men's +105 kg.

However Tatiana Kashirina's 348 kg Total is taken into consideration in the official ranking of the lifters.

Comparing to current World Record in Olympic weightlifting for Men. Tatiana Kashirina would be placed well above the current record in the Men's 62 kg (137 lbs) category.

Worlds Strongest Woman

Tatiana Kashirina just proved that women can be competitive to men in sports.

Now I can heard the naysayers complaining: "In September 2016, Kashirina was suspended from competition for two years after failing an anti-doping control." Yéyéyé... Tatiana Kashirina didn't failed she just got caught. Stop burying your head in the sand and realize that the majority of high-level athletes, male or female, American or Russian, are doped one way or the other.

The bottom line is, Tatiana Kashirina is an incredible woman who succeeded at lifting superhuman amounts of weight overhead. Period.

Punch Out intergalactic failure

Punch Out failed sequel Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch rebaptized Power Punch II after Tyson's legal troubles.

Here it is with all the storylines details.

Mark "Tough Guy" Tyler is the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world, with an Olympic gold medal and a 33-0 (30 KO) record to his claim. After knocking out another opponent with ease, Tyler and his manager taunt the world by saying that no one can stop him. However, the broadcast is picked up far from Earth in the outer reaches of the universe by an alien boxing promoter for the Intergalactic Boxing Federation (IGBF). The promoter decides to accept Tyler’s challenge that he can beat “anyone”. Thus Tyler is brought into the throes of the universe to compete against the best boxers in the universe and defend his earthly title.

June 12, 1992, Iron Mike was 26 years old, 41-1 and in jail.

(2)HISTORY

Power Punch II's history dates back to early 1991. Mike Tyson and Don King had
agreed on a sequel to the classic Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!. By June 1991 the
sequel was set for a release in 1992. The game then called Mike Tyson's
Intergalactic Power Punch, was supposed to have Tyson taking on aliens and
other creatures, since humans could not touch him (what about Douglas?). But
of course, 1991 would prove to be a terrible year for Mike Tyson. Just as he
was preparing for his upcoming fight with the undisputed heavyweight champion
Evander Holyfield, controversy arose. He had been accused of raping a Miss
Black America beauty contestant. Tyson continued training despite the powerful
accusation placed upon him. It looked as though he would get the chance to
regain "his" belts, however a rib injury forced him to miss the fight. Soon
afterwards, Mike was sentenced to three years in prison for rape in 1992.

Nintendo's dream of a second Tyson game was tarnished. James "Buster" Douglas
had been the cause of Mike Tyson being replaced by Mr. Dream in Punch-Out!!.
Now however, it was a rape conviction that cancelled the release of Mike
Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch. Never a company to back down from making
money however, Nintendo decided to keep the game alive by calling it Power
Punch II. A few changes would have to be implemented into the game. Instead
of controlling "Iron" Mike Tyson, a new fighter called Mark "Tough Guy" Tyler
took his place. Tyson's facial features had to be toned down slightly, thus
Nintendo removed Tyson's trademark shaved line in his hair. His menace was
also taken away, in order to make Tyler seem more humble to fellow gamers. Of
course the major change was the switch in Tyson's boxing trunks colour.
Instead of black, Tyler wears pink (again to give him more of a friendly
image). Finally, Tyson's promoter Don King had his lightning bolted hair
removed completely.

Without Mike Tyson in the title, gamers rarely picked up this game and
Nintendo had failed miserably. Power Punch II absolutely bombed as a sequel
to one of the greatest games ever made. Tyson fans like me still tried it
out though and played it for no other reason than to control Tyson in pink.

******************************************************************************
(3)GAME STORY

Mark "Tough Guy" Tyler is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in
the year 2006. He is viewed as the best ever (step aside Tyson). He has won
the gold medal at the Olympics and has dominated the division with a
spectacular 33-0 record with 30 wins coming by way of knock out. After his
ninth successful title defense, Tyler arrogantly makes a bold statement that
will change his life as he knows it. "Tough Guy" states that he can beat
"anyone, anywhere, anytime". Such a profound statement has not been heard of
since Mike Tyson said the same and was then tamed by James "Buster" Douglas in
his tenth defense of the title. Tyler's promoter Don King (who finally lost
his electric hair after getting struck by lightning on one fateful night, how
ironic), backs up his fighter in saying that absolutely no one on the face of
the earth stands a chance against his man.

Meanwhile, an alien Don King reading these quotes in a Ring magazine article,
has a sudden idea. He sees the confidence in Tyler and wants to give him a
worthy challenge for once. Alien Don invites Mark to join the IGBF, the
Intergalactic Boxing Federation which comprises of super alien, mutant and
cyborg boxers. Mark and Don agree on the deal and are ready to prove that
Tyler is in fact the best fighter in the entire Universe. Will Tyler succeed
in becoming "the baddest man in the Universe"?. Only you can help him reach
his ultimate goal and seal his status as the greatest of all time.

WWE wrestlers with a criminal record vs XFL

At the XFL press conference, Vince McMahon clearly stated that he will looks for “quality of the human being is going to be as important as the quality of the player” and that the XFL won’t have any players with criminal records. “Even if you have a DUI, you will not play in the XFL.”

Which is foolish in my view, I hope this is just PR bullcrap to appeal his target niche audience. Because if not, Vince would simply refuse to sign past peak but nonetheless good NFL players just because of their troubled pasts?!!?

NFL players, just as pro wrestlers, are badasses by definition. And as we all know, badasses are not all goodie two shoes role models in real life. So if VKM only wants immaculate football players, that's eliminate a lot of potential good players from his roster.

With his limited financial ressources and his in-the-making status, the XFL isn't in any position to refuse any valuable player whatsoever.

Whether we like it or not, the XFL will be a B-football league just like the CFL. A league with a roster of NFL wash-ups and not-good-enough for the NFL. In this position, you must be open to everything and you cannot afford to be picky.

Now the questions are:

Is Vince McMahon's WWE pro wrestlers entertainers are all quality human beings without any criminal records nor DUI infractions?

Would WWE entertainers be clean enough to play in the XFL?

Now let's look at the current WWE roster and the WWE Hall Of Fame if there is only "quality individuals without any criminal records not even DUI".

WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE Hall Of Famer Jimmy Snuka getting away with murder. StrengthFighter.com
WWE Hall Of Famer Jimmy Snuka getting away with murder.

  • Jimmy "Superfly" SnukaOn May 10, 1983, a few hours after Snuka had performed at a WWF TV taping at the Lehigh County Agricultural Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Snuka placed a call for an ambulance. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene at Room 427 of the George Washington Motor Lodge in nearby Whitehall Township, they found Snuka’s girlfriend, Nancy Argentino, injured. She was transported to Allentown's Sacred Heart Medical Center, where she died shortly after of "undetermined craniocerebral injuries." Deputy Lehigh County coroner Wayne Snyder said, “Upon viewing the body and speaking to the pathologist, I immediately suspected foul play and so notified the district attorney." Snuka was the only suspect involved in the subsequent investigation. Charges were not pressed against Snuka, although the case was left officially open, meaning no official judgment on whether the incident was accidental or homicide was ever made. In 1985, Argentino’s parents won a $500,000 default judgment against Snuka in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia, although Snuka appears not to have ever paid, claiming financial inability to do so.     Jimmy Snuka was indicted and arrested in September 2015 on third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges, in relation to the May 1983 death of his girlfriend, Nancy Argentino. Snuka pleaded not guilty, but was ultimately found unfit to stand trial in June 2016 due to being diagnosed with dementia. As his health declined, the charges were dismissed on January 3, 2017. He died twelve days later. His dead was mentioned at the following episode of WWE Monday Night Raw???

  • Jerry "The King" Lawler. Was arrested on March 16, 1999 for running over the foot of an officer with his car after being given a ticket.
  • Lita. She was arrested in December of 2011 after being charged with speeding in excess of maximum limits and futhermore, Lita was driving with a suspended or revoked licence.

Vince McMahon Kiss My ASS Club StrengthFighter.com

There is no photoshop here, the Vince McMahon Kiss My ASS Club really existed... But only as entertainment purpose during the WWE Attitude Era.
  • Vince McMahon himself. On November 18th, 1993, McMahon was charged with possession of steroids and conspiracy to distribute steroids. But fortunately for wrestling fan around the world he was acquitted of all charges.

As you can see, many of the most celebrated the WWF/WWE superstars, and the boss himself, are really far from being choir boys.

Moral of the story.

  • Logically, your employer has no fn' business to control what you do outside of your working hours.
  • The fans pay to see an athlete perform. The fans didn't pay an athlete to be a perfect husband or a model citizen. So all the leagues and all the sports federations should stop their PR bullshit to appease the mainstream medias and the brainwashed sheep who believe them.
  • Nobody is perfect. Everybody can make mistakes. Anybody can clean up his act, just like most of the WWE superstars mentioned above did.
  • A sport league should get behind its athletes instead of throwing them away at the mere sight of controversy.

In resume,
With all due respect, I think that you should wipe your ass with your conduct policy!!!

As the savvy Billionaire promoter extraordinaire that Vince McMahon is, I bet that his "quality of human being" picking will get lost in the stuffle sooner than later. Hopefully... It's a necessity if we ever hope to see some big names playing on the XFL field.
