Bert Goodrich. The first Mr. America. Note his excellent, balanced physique; very similar to Mas Oyama's. Goodrich achieved his superb development when bodybuilding was a sane and vigorously healthful activity (unlike what its mainstream version has become. The weight training approach that we stress is exactly the kind that built the great bodybuilders of the 1930's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. Many of these greats were successful wrestlers and boxers. All appreciated the correct way to train — and followed it. So should you!
